Death is a natural and universal process. It’s the one thing we ALL have in common. But we still fear and avoid any real conversation about the subject, which often leads to surprise, shock and pain when we inevitably face the death of a loved one or our own death.
It doesn’t have to be this way. By discussing and planning for death, we can come to the process fully conscious of the forgiveness, healing, meaning and peace that the end of life can offer.
As an End Of Life Guide, or Doula, I would be honored to walk this path with you, and help you make the most of each day.
If you've arrived at this website, it's likely not by accident, and you may have many questions. Please do not hesitate to contact me. If I can't answer your questions, I'd be happy to speak with you and direct you to someone who can. I'm part of a large network of amazing doulas and guides, all with their own special skills and experience.
End of Life Doulas (EOL Doulas) provide non-medical, non judgmental, holistic support, companionship and comfort to the dying person and their family. Doulas work with a dying person, their family and caregivers in the last months of life to guide them emotionally, spiritually and physically. Care may also include practical care and education, all with the goal of offering the dying person an opportunity to explore the meaning of their life and their impact on others.
End Of Life Doulas foster self-determination in their clients by assisting them in gathering information and encourage them to make informed choices that are right for them. EOL Doulas work with family members, other caregivers and members of the medical team.
